Regardless of a market-driven slump in 2022, NFTs continue to dominate innovative trends in digital art. Today, we see the emergence of rising NFT and digital artforms in galleries and venues throughout the world.

Bloomberg Quicktake did a short piece on one such gallery that displayed NFTs in Hong Kong since 2021. Digital Art Fair Asia was just one event highlighting the artistic and utility applications of NFTs.

It’s Changing Fast

Of course, even in the months since this video was made, great strides have been achieved in the advancement of NFTs. Through eco-friendly companies like Bubblehouse and Matic/Polygon, a lot of concerns about carbon emissions and security are quickly fading away.

Because of the appeal to create digital art in new ways, it seems likely NFTs are here to stay.

Naturally, with solutions like eco-friendly NFT minting and free marketplaces, we are seeing the few holdouts start to come around. There is a broad and bright future for NFTs and their practical applications, in every aspect of human life, not just in art.

Through specific utility applications, there are basically no limits to how NFTs can be used to advance aspects of our daily lives.

A Scratch on the Surface of Digital Art

We’ll dive more into the ethical and applicable questions that surround NFTs and their creation in another post. For now, we can try to imagine a day where NFTs and alternative forms of art become so widely accepted that we see a paradigm shift throughout the industry. That day is nearly here.
